Problem
We listen
Agrium was looking to increase their output, which would have put more strain on their existing furnace. Since the furnace needed more gas volume to meet output goals, it therefore needed a larger gas line to supply the volume.
Solution
We respond
With the existing gas line being too small to meet demands, it was determined through careful planning that the line would need to be replaced to supply the furnace with the correct volume. To save our customers excess cost, we were able to fabricate most of the line at our in-house fab shop.
Results
We deliver
In the end, we installed a 4” main gas line to the furnace, excavating and replacing the existing 2” line. With this change, the furnace was able to withstand the increased demand placed on it from the plant's increased usage, providing a more efficient production output for the plant.
