Project Summary
DePue Mechanical was selected by GAW to design, fabricate, and install modular skid systems as part of a process upgrade for one of their chemical production lines. The scope included in-shop pipe fabrication, field installation, skid setting, and utility tie-ins—completed on a fast-track schedule to support critical production timelines.
This project showcases DePue’s strength in turnkey modular fabrication and code welding for process systems, helping clients accelerate installation timelines and minimize operational downtime.
Scope of Work
We managed the full mechanical scope from fabrication to field connection, including:
Custom modular skid design for chemical processing
Shop fabrication of process piping using carbon and stainless steel
Rigging and setting of preassembled skids into final position
Process piping installation and tie-ins to existing utilities
Code welding performed by ASME-certified welders
Startup coordination to align with client production timelines
Challenges and Solutions
Challenge: GAW needed to accelerate project execution without disrupting ongoing plant operations.
Our Solution:
We prefabricated all piping offsite in our shop to compress field install time.
Modular skids were built to spec and delivered just-in-time.
Field crews performed all rigging and tie-ins during planned outage windows.
All code welding passed third-party inspections on first pass.
