Steam Turbine & Generator Support – Equipment Setting and Piping Project for PVS Chemicals

When PVS Chemicals prepared for their new steam turbine installation, they needed more than just a mechanical contractor—they needed a precision partner.
Their ask? Safely set critical equipment in extremely tight quarters, then bring it all online with reliable, code-compliant connections that would help power both their facility and the electrical grid.

DePue Mechanical was brought in to perform both equipment setting and interconnecting piping for this highly specialized system.
We installed:

- Cooling towers

- Reverse osmosis skids

- Deaerators

- Heat exchangers

All were positioned and aligned for maximum performance and accessibility.

Our team fabricated and installed piping from ¼” stainless steel tubing up to 36” carbon steel, routing critical process lines for:

- 250 lb steam

- Vacuum steam

- Condensate

- Plant water

Every weld, skid, and support was executed to spec, meeting the demands of a high-performance steam-driven power system.

Today, DePue’s piping network delivers 250 lb steam from the client’s plant to the turbine, which spins to generate clean electricity for the grid.
After power generation, the turbine returns 60 lb of usable steam back to the plant—perfectly suited for process applications.
This closed-loop energy efficiency helps PVS minimize waste, maximize output, and improve sustainability.
