Congratulations to Jim Jacobsen Jr, President of DePue Mechanical, on being elected President of the Mechanical Contractors’ Association of Chicago!
Jacobsen will be serving as President of the MCA-Chicago for the next two year, and says he feels “really fortunate to be able to work in such a great industry. Our member contractors, our pipefitters, our office teams and our suppliers are all wonderful, smart people. I feel so fortunate to help our MCA-Chicago team support our leaders and their families for years to come.”
A driven member of the board, Jacobsen is excited for the ambitious agenda currently on the MCA-Chicago’s plate. “Our member companies are very busy and the construction market remains hot. There is a lot of focus on making sure that our workforce recruitment and training is adequate for the job site of the future,” Jacobsen shares. “We are currently expanding and enhancing our MCA-Chicago educational offerings. We are also working closely with our labor partners at Chicago Pipefitter 597 to make sure we are ready in terms of technology, training and workforce requirements needed for the jobsite of tomorrow.”
